Some thoughts about Plastic Man #3

Plastic Man needs to get over his own fears.

A mysterious organization is threatening a child and now is up to Eel to find the courage to fight for others.

What else can I say? I'm still really enjoying this series.

Gail Simone delivers a new chapter where she continues to mix solid characterization and humour. The jokes continue to be on-point whenever Eel is in the spotlight, all the funny lines, enjoyable moments and even entertaining references to other comics are really fitting for him and shows the amount of love that Simone puts into the character and universe.

The story progresses at a nice pace as well since the rest of the cast are receive interesting scenes to contribute to the plot while the dynamic between Eel and the kid he saved (whose gender is still undefined) are pretty charming and emotional. The cliffhanger is also quite intriguing and promises a new enemy for the hero.

Adriana Melo's artwork is still impressive thanks to her beautiful and flexible style that is simply perfect for the book, it captures the comedic tone and storytelling precisely.

Fun read, hope the next one is even better.
