Some thoughts about Transformers: Lost Light #20

Rodimus and Getaway's final fight has just started.

Getaway has manipulated and killed people to reach this moment and things are not going the way he planned. Now is up to Rodimus to decide to do with him.

This issue gives me mixed feelings overall.

James Roberts brings the conclusion of this particular arc in a semi-satisfying way. The conflict between Rodimus and Getaway was depicted pretty appropriately I believe with both characters being developed in different ways. Getaway realizes that he has gone way too far with his actions to find Cyberutopia and has nothing to lose at this point while Rodimus finally understands that he has committed similar mistakes in his quest for revenge against the deranged Autobot. The resolution for both characters is quite adequate overall.

The thing is that I'm still not over how most of the Lost Light crew got turned into Sparkeaters and therefore killed without further exploring at least the most interesting of them. Is especially disappointing because I wanted to know what made Hound, Blaster, Perceptor and Hoist side with Getaway but alas that will never happen. Oh, and speaking of underwhelming results, Skorponok is quickly transported to another place and Star Saber is immediately killed so is like their appearances didn't matter at all, what was the point then?

Casey W. Coller's artwork is really good with the kind of semi-cartoony style that is pretty reminiscent of Alex Milne's. Great fit.

Not as satisfactory as I was hoping for but still decent enough I guess. Let's see how this actually ends now.
