Some thoughts about Hal Jordan & the Green Lantern Corps #48
Hal and his friends are trying to figure out a way to stop their new opponents but they continue to prove stronger than they expected. Now the only solution is to realize what gives the Darkstars such strength.
The story continues to escalate appropriately.
Robert Venditti continues to increase the threat of the Darkstars while showing an exciting fight between the Green Lantern Corps and them. The action scenes are particularly engaging thanks to the fast pacing that also delivers interesting character moments, particularly between Kilowog and Tomar-Tu whose connection is explored during their clash.
The writer even includes a few comedic moments involving Hector Hammond's goofiness to break the tension while the plot progresses accordingly to a moment that could turn the wheels on the Corps' favor.
Rafa Sandoval returns to art duties and his work is still impressive thanks to his kinetic style that makes every scene even more appealing and every battle even more engaging.
Good read, hope the book continues this way towards the end.
