Some thoughts about Transformers: Lost Light #21

The end of the universe is coming.

Rodimus has just saved his crew from Getaway but now he will have to face an even greater threat, the Grand Architect.

The road to the end is here and so far, is sadly nothing impressive.

James Roberts continues to close the door on this book by delivering one of their biggest encounters yet. There are a few interesting ideas here and the sense of menace that the characters are experiencing is palpable (Mind you, I believe that Roberts did a much better job in the past with the DJD but I digress).

Now here is the problems I have with this. It seems like I was wrong last time and part of the Lost Light who turned into Sparkeaters are not truly dead buuut on the other hand, the reasons why they decided to leave Rodimus were not explained at all and so I still feel like my criticism hasn't been addressed. Second, this is pure set-up since it feels basically like a prologue for the arc that is about to start with very little actually happening. Finally, characters like Scorponok are quickly killed without any true moment to shine, is not as bad as what happened to Star Saber but is still up there.

Eh, at least a good old character is back.

Jack Lawrence's artwork is pretty solid thanks to his fluid character models and clear storytelling.

Aside from that, not bad but not great. Hope the following issues are adequate.
