The world continues at war and some people must need to start acting.
Aquawoman has just realized that if she wants to make her people survive, she will need to help the surface world to win the war. Meanwhile, The Helm of Fate has decided to choose another being for its powers and leave Khalid, but that not might be the end of their connection.
Okay, this issue might not be the worst but is still pretty underwhelming.
The Aquawoman sections are solid enough where the writers start showing how the conflict and her time imprisoned have affected her but at the end they come to the conclusion that people were already expecting. She's going to war along with her world.
The Doctor Fate segment is an okay story but it suffers from awkward dialogue and overall it feels like nothing actually happened since Fate simply comes back to earth.
And that's my biggest complaint here: This issue fills almost like filler. Nothing important actually occurred and it was pretty worthless in terms of the big plot.
The artwork is decent for the most part but both sections are so grim that it reminds me too much of the World's End and nothing good can come from that.
Mediocre issue overall, don't bother with it.
