Some thoughts about Aquaman #39

Aquaman is finally going to meet one of the most important persons in his life.

Atlanna has been alive all this time despite of the beliefs of the contrary and now Arthur will need to make her realize he is her son if he wants to get alive from her fury.

Maelstrom continues with its penultimate chapter and is as fun as usual.

Jeff Parker creates an interesting characterization for Atlanna and offers a logical explanation about why she was gone from Atlantis for so long.  The conflict between Arthur and her is well depicted and entertaining.

The worldbuilding is pretty solid due that the author continues to create different beings as well as implementing other concepts established in Geoff Johns' run.

Paul Pelletier is on art duties and his work is great as usual by delivering great visuals, nice sense of scale and interesting creatures and characters.

Solid issue, hope the conclusion is even better.
