Some thoughts about Harley Quinn: Valentine's Day Special #1

Harley Quinn's dreams of a perfect date might not go as well as she would prefer to.

Harley is decided to win the auction to get a date with Bruce Wayne no matter what she has to do to obtain the money. However, once that a fish-fanatic supervillain duo interferes, Harley's plan will go to a completely different direction.

If the premise sounds crazy is because it is.

Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner bring yet another oversized special to the series where this time they explore what could possibly be a romantic relationship between Bruce Wayne and Harley Quinn.

Which of course doesn't go the way that Harley wants to but what it follows is a quite fun adventure fun of the usual humour that you would find in this series as well as some parodies like the Carp and Sea Robin which are hilarious as you might expect.

There are even dream sequences like in the Annual which go from both Harley and Bruce's perspectives which end-up being being pretty insane.

This is all thanks to the artwork. John Timms returns to art duties and his work continues to be perfect for this series thanks to his expressive and cartoony look. The dream scenes are brought by Ben Caldwell, Aaron Campbell and Thony Silas and while their styles are different from each other they certainly fit into the whole theme.

Entertaining special and one you shoulnd't miss if you're a fan of the book.
