Some thoughts about Catwoman #39

The battles inside of Selina's organization continues.

The different mob families of Gotham City are being tested by their own people and Selina is starting to realize that everything will most likely end-up in war.

Still one of the smartest reads of the week.

Genevieve Valentine delivers another strong chapter of her story by demonstrating the conflict inside of Selina's family and how they keep changing her despite that she might not really want it. The characterization is pretty good and Selina is being developed into a quite calculating and competent person.

The different sub-plots from previous issues are also coming together her to prepare for what probably will be the climax of this story. The war between the families of Gotham is indeed inevitable.

Garry Brown returns to pencils and his work remains pretty appropriate for the series thanks to its dark tone and immersive atmosphere.

Great issue, can't wait to see where this is going.
