Some thoughts about Justice League of America #15

Whatever happened to The Atom?

Ray Palmer has been lost for a long time and now the Justice League will finally learn the reason why but the answer could be dangerous for everybody.

I'm glad that I didn't expect much from this.

And really why should I? This story has been built-up for a while by Steve Orlando at the expense of others from this same title and while it had potential at the beginning, you quickly realize that this is simply not an interesting tale, at least not in terms of execution. Orlando tries to create some solid characterization for Ray and the people involved in his journey and while is at the very least accurate, is not really memorable in any sense whatsoever.

Worst of all, is that we don't even get clear answers here. The issue concludes on a cliffhanger where the answer is apparently going to be revealed in the next chapter which is pretty anticlimactic considering how long we have been waiting for to learn what kept Ray Palmer here all this time. Yes, some of the backstory is explored but is not really interesting and barely progresses the plot itself.

Felipe Watanabe's artwork is fine with expressive characters and a clean look but is not particularly special.

Again, just waiting this poor arc to finish to drop this book. What a waste.
