Some thoughts about Harley Quinn 25th Anniversary Special

Is time to celebrate one of the most important times in DC history.

Harley has spent all these years along with several loved ones and there's not better time to remember such moments than now.

You know, I'm starting to lose count of how many specials Harley gets but considering that I tend to enjoy most of them, they don't bother me so much and this is a decent one as a whole.

The opening story is written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner and is suited during the Harley Quinn: Road Trip Special. Is a pretty simple yet fun story focusing on Harley, Ivy and Catwoman and delivers the kind of humour you would expect. Conner's artwork is always pleasent to see as well.

The second segment is written by Paul Dini and is appropriately about Harley's birthday. Dini pretty much uses all the villains, especially the Joker and Ivy in pretty accurate ways that bring surprises and laughs. Chad Hardin's pencils fit the cartoony tone perfectly.

Daniel Kibblesmith delivers a little tale about Harley and Ivy shopping that quickly turns into a bizarre adventure with Swamp Thing full of enjoyable moments. David Lafuente's beautiful and expressive style gets the best of every scene.

Finally Chip Zdarsky offers a story about one of the early encounters between Harley and Dick Grayson which seems strangely connected to the recent animated special and delivers a compelling characterization of the protagonist to boot. Joe Quinones' artstyle is quite appealing and reminiscent of the Batman Animated series.

Overall, I would say that I liked Kibblesmith's story the most followed by Zdarsky, Dini and Palmiotti/Conner in that order. Fun read.
