Is Wonder Woman up to the task?
Diana is refusing to use her new powers to fight Hecate but the threat would prove be big enough to force her.
James Tynion IV's involvement here makes sense but doesn't make it a good fit for the title honestly.
This is the second chapter of the crossover The Witching Hour between Wonder Woman and Justice League Dark. As mentioned before, this is the story that Tynion created during his Justice League Dark and to be honest, many of his usual annoying ticks are present here. There's way too much exposition, from both third person narrators and dialogue, in fact, I don't feel like the story progresses that much, the issue is mostly dedicated to the narrator telling what's happening and characters telling what they need to do next, not much beyond that.
Is not that there isn't anything valuable here though since old fan-favorite members of the team like Deadman return and I hope is for the long-term. Not to mention that characters who are connected to the world of magic like Circe and even obscure ones like Manitou Dawn make an appearance which at least make the "plot" more tolerable.
Emanuela Luppachino's artwork is always pleasent to see although it seemed a bit rushed here, not with her usual amount of polish.
Not terrible but pretty dull overall, not sure how it will continue.
