Can Plastic Man save the world?
The mysterious organization that has been causing all the attacks have been revealed and now Eel will be forced to take responsibility one way or another.
The story is escalating pretty quickly.
Gail Simone is about to conclude this book by bringing back quite a few of her familiar faces. The introduction of a particular "Secret Society" called The Cabal consisting of characters like Doctor Psycho among others makes a lot of sense considering Simone's history with them since Villains United. This allows to give the book a bigger sense of scale as well.
The characterization is also pretty good due that Eel realizes that by doing the right he actually hurts others, especially the kid who he has been trying to save all this time which is a classic dilemma that Simone likes to implement with characters who fall into the "gray" area.
If I have a worry is that I don't know if the writer will be able to give a satisfying conclusion for all of these plot-points since she will have to handle the fight against The Cabal and a new villain who was created to kill Plastic Man along with other sub-plots in the very last chapter but let's see.
Adriana Melo's artwork remains outstanding thanks to her beautiful characters and semi-cartoony style.
Good read overall, hope for the better for the finale.
