Wasp and her team are back!
Nadia has decided to make the world a better place and to do so created the organization G.I.R.L. but not even that could prepare her for what's coming next.
And I'm glad to have all this team back once again.
As you might know, I was a fan of the last Unstoppable Wasp volume so I'm really happy that Marvel gave all of these characters another chance and handled by the same writer.
Jeremy Whitly returns to this book and is basically like nothing changed since the last time. In fact, this pretty much feels like yet another chapter of the last series due that many of same plot-points are continuing in this new volume. Nadia and all the friends she made during the course of the last series are still working together while classic characters like Janet Van Dyne are still an important part of the new organization that Nadia created.
That's not to say that there are not new plot-points beind developed here though since there's a new mystery concerning Hank Pym and considering his connection with Nadia, it makes it one of the most important parts of the story. Speaking of which, and aside from that sub-plot, the story has a pretty slice of life feel where is mostly focused on the relationship the characters have with one another and the protagonist's role in this new project which gives a pretty distinctive tone.
Gurihiru handles the art and is really pleasent to look at. The characters are beautiful and the style is really vibrant which is perfect for a book focusing on young heroes.
Solid beginning, can't wait for the next one.
