Who will the Titans react to the drown of the Earth?
Garth has returned to the team to fight the threat that the Sea Gods from other galaxies have brought to the planet but even his help might not be enough.
Boy, this is getting pretty messy pretty quickly.
Dan Abnett is forced into the Drowned Earth crossover and I truly mean that. Hell, you can't even feel the disappointment and frustration he has during this same issue where he makes Donna say: "This team is a mess" while also referencing all the other editorial mandates that he had to address like Nightwing being shot and Roy being frikking dead. Again, this is particularly underwhelming because I felt this book was on the right direction but sadly, DC has destroyed all the potential it had.
About the story itself, there's barely any. The team is just fighting a few monsters and one of the Sea Gods but aside from that, there's nothing to see. I mean, there's a bit of character work between Donna and Garth which is decent and the involvement of the latter makes sense but is not enough to compensate how worthless this feels.
Clayton Henry handles the art and is adequate due to the clear storytelling and solid action scenes.
Another one that I will probably be dropping soon. Shame.
