Is this the end of the Green Lanterns?
The Cyborg Superman has arrived to Coast City and is willing to destroy it once again unless the Corps stop him once for all.
Well, this is the end all right and it feels like nothing actually happened.
I have mentioning how this arc overstayed its welcome but at least I was hoping that it would at least get a solid closure for protagonists of the book and sadly that's not really the case. The fight against Hank Henshaw is pretty by the numbers and doesn't offer many memorable moments although it does make sense that Hal is the one who stops him considering their history so at least that was appropriate.
What bothers me is that there's barely a satisfying conclusion for both Jessica and Simon. Jess simply mentions that she wants to leave the Corps to follow her own adventures which of course, mostly serves to prepare her for her role in Justice League Odyssey. In fact, this finale mostly serves to set-up future stories like Hal and the Green Lantern Corps' role in the upcoming Grant Morrison run and the Cyborg Superman having apparently disappeared.
Mike Perkins' artwork is still pretty good though thanks to his detailed environments and characters.
Other than that, was hoping for more. Better luck for the future.
