The Titan and the Fury are together again.
Carter has traveled to the Microverse and there he has found his old friend Ray Palmer. Now both will have to find out what's happening with his constant reincarnations.
This is becoming a pretty fun journey.
Robert Venditti offers a new chapter where he reunites the classic team of Hawkman and The Atom. Mind you, considering that the New 52 erased their previous history, I don't think these characters should know each other, let alone having an old friendship, but still, I can forgive that because everything else is really enjoyable.
The characterization is really solid due that the relationship between Carter and Ray seems like it was preserved from their pre-Flashpoint versions. Plus, Venditti offers a few interesting new ideas like how both characters actually relate to each other based on their knowledge and even offers intriguing concepts like the fact that Carter could have been reincarnated once in the Microverse and that his reincarnation might not even follow a chronological order which opens a ton of possibilities.
The adventure is also really entertaining. Fans of the old Silver Age stories will feel right at home here due to the sense of excitement that exploring the Microverse brings along with the solid worldbuilding the author provides.
Bryan Hitch's artwork is getting more appropriate thanks to the sense of scale and detail he creates.
Great read, can't wait for the next one.
