This could be the end of the Super Sons.
Robin and Superboy have not only been captured by a gang of villains but Jon has also been separated in two different personalities. Now their only chance to escape is to risk their lives.
This is just fun.
Peter Tomasi offers a new installment of pure action and while that might make it seem like it lacks a bit of content (since it kinda does) it compensates with pure entertainment. The idea of Jon being separated into Superboy Blue and Superboy Red allows for a classic implementation of the concept as well as creating a engaging interaction between the two due that they pretty much act like two little brothers who constantly fight with each other and that's pretty appropriate for this book.
The action scenes are well-paced and offer enjoyable lines. It was also cool that some of the other little villains got the spotlight due that their personalities contrast nicely with the main characters and the battle ends as well as one could expect. As I said before, this comes with the price of plot progression due that there isn't a lot sadly.
Carlo Barberi remains in art duties and his work remains perfect for the title thanks to the expressive characters and energetic style.
Good read, hope the next one offers more though.
