The Suicide Squad will depend on Harley Quinn to survive.
Harley has gone sane after a strange event that has turned everyone else crazy. Now she will have to save her teammates before all of them kill her.
Once again, this was pretty mediocre overall.
There are few interesting ideas in the story that Rob Williams tries to create like how a mysterious force has made everyone insane and had the opposite effect on Harley. However, this contradicts a lot of the characterization she receives in her own series since she's not actually insane, she's just silly and fun, not to mention that she has demonstrated that she can still use her skills as a psychiatrist several times so saying that she has suddenly become smart because of this is bad characterization.
But okay, I can kinda forgive that. There's another problem though, the execution is not the best with dialogue that is not really engaging and ideas that are not that compelling. Is an overall quite dull little story.
Jim Lee's artwork is wasted here since he does create really intense action scenes and his storytelling is decent at least.
There's a second segment focusing on Enchantress and is a bit more interesting by showing a much more complex perspective of the dual nature of the character while playing with a solid enough premise. The execution is still not the best though but at least is better than in the main story. Christian Ward handles the artwork and is quite distinctive with a clean style that depicts the most bizarre scenes nicely.
You know how this book rolls at this point, why even bother? Good question for you and me.
