Blue Beetle will have to learn the true nature of his powers.
Jaime can't get a rest since he not only has to survive the attack of several enemies but he will also realize that the Scarab he uses might be getting more dangerous.
Yep, there's less harassment here and fortunately we also get really good developments.
Keith Giffen brings a new script with the usual personality that you would expect from him which is particularly obvious during the interactions between the characters with several lines being entertaining in an either emotional or comedic level. The character work is pretty good with the character reacting to all the different events that have been happening lately in a proper way and we get some touching moments between Jaime and his loved ones.
Speaking of plot-points, Giffen implements many here based on this series and several of his other DC works. We know that Teri is obviously the same from Justice League 3001 but we also see some appearances of Sugar and Spike from the Legends of Tomorrow miniseries who hopefully also will play a bigger role here. Not to mention all the different mysteries the writer is creating in this same issue.
Scott Kolins handles the artwork and is pretty solid with really expressive characters and a storytelling that captures the best moments from the script.
Entertaining overall. Hope the next one is just as good.
