Some thoughts about The Flintstones #5

What are the dangers of elections?

Bedrock is in Election Day and everyone is getting into the spirit of democracy. However, Fred and Barney can't help but remember what happened when they followed their last leader.

And once again, this series goes straight to the point in a precise way.

Mark Russell delivers a new chapter in his ongoing satire by making fun of elections and their consequences. Is pretty hard not to see the parallels with current events in the U.S.A. including the constant mentions about how they always have to choose between "The Bullied and The Bully" and while it certainly makes fun of one side in particular, it also recognizes the flaws in the other to create a balanced social commentary.

And of course we also see more worldbuilding criticizing topics about war and how they can be lead by greedy people who manipulate others which also works as part of the story since is incorporated into the plot and characterization nicely. Excellent work.

Steve Pugh remains in art duties and his expressive characters and detailed style are on-point in every scene delivering the strong emotional and comedic moments perfectly.

Probably the best read of the week. Highly recommended, you need to read this book people.
