Hellcat and Black Cat's fight continues.
Patsy has just learned how abusive Ian's last relationship with one of the girls from Black Cat's gang was and things are about to become even worse once that they become more ruthless.
Sadly, this didn't work for me once again.
Kate Leth brings a new chapter about her story focusing on the battle between Patsy and Black Cat. There are a few good aspects here like how Ian was in an abusive relationship was which creates an interesting topic about how not only women can find themselves in that kind of situation and actually the roles can be reserved. This is a surprisingly on-point sample of equality that I wish more books would explore.
On the other hand, the story itself is not as good as I was wishing. The conflict between these two characters is not as entertaining as the premise would make you believe and it might be because, again, they haven't face each other yet and so there's no way to show a good contrast between their personalities. The rest of Black Cat's gang, aside from the abusive one, barely have any personality which makes it pretty hard to be invested in them.
Brittney L. Williams remains in art duties and while her work is still distinctive and beautiful in her own cartoony style, the backgrounds are still lacking which makes everything look quite simplistic at times.
Can't recommend this one, hope the conclusion is actually good.
