Some thoughts about Wonder Woman #41

Can Wonder Woman defeat an horde of villains?

Darkseid is still planning his ascension while Diana will have to deal with a mysterious attack caused by strange enemies.

Some things worked really well here I believe.

James Robinson offers a new installment where he does his classic exploration of obscure characters and concepts. This is pretty obvious once that Diana is forced to fight villains like Zara, the Blue Snowman and even Angle Man in some form, this is where Robinson's writing tends to shine, when he gives modern twists to old ideas. Best of all is that this is connected to the new villains that Diana has to face while reinforcing her relationship with Steve in a meaningful way.

You know what doesn't work though? Darkseid's inclusion once again. Not because is necessarily bad per se but because it just feels out of place and clashes with the tone of the rest of the story. I wish we would have gotten more classic rogues instead of this.

Stephen Segovia handles the art and is really good thanks to his beautiful characters and strong storytelling.

Enjoyable aside from a few nitpicks. Hope it continues this way.
