Some thoughts about Harley Quinn #38

Harley Quinn will have to face some of the most obscure villains.

Criminals from Gotham City are causing chaos everywhere and Harley is the only one who can stop them.

Well, this is at least a good execution of the premise.

Frank Tieri offers a new installment where he continues this new direction of Harley becoming a "hero for hire" where he explores some of the most unknown aspects of the Batmythos. As I said before, I'm not really a fan of a direction that is so focused on the Batman universe since I believe that Palmiotti and Conner did quite a good job at making Harley's world her own. That being said, lesser-known Batvillains like the Condiment King, Film Freak and Zebra Man are so ridiculous that they just fit in Harley's world so this is the good implementation of the direction.

What follows is an issue full of fun action and jokes which seem in the same vein as the previous run although it makes me miss a few of the slice of life aspects from the last run.

Mirka Andolfo and Eleonora Carlini handle the artwork and they do a great job in their respective segments with a pretty vibrant and dynamic style.

Enjoyable overall, hope it keeps improving.
