Some thoughts about Green Lanterns #40

The Green Lanterns will have to face the dangers of dating.

An app is creating matchs between superheroes and now most of them are disappearing. Is up to Jessica and Simon to find out what happened to them before is too late.

A new storyline starts and seems just as entertaining as before.

Tim Seeley brings yet another arc that he has been planning for a while. It involves the presence of one of Simon's girlfriends and how her disappearance is connected to Caper, a dating app that is pretty similar to Tinder but only works for superheroes, this in and of itself is a pretty creative and fun premise and is actually connected to many new heroes that Seeley is introducing here, some of them are weird and ridiculous but work well for this kind of story.

There's also solid character development due to the sudden realization that there could be something more between Simon and Jess but I personally don't think it should happen. I think they work better just as partners, that's exactly how their relationship shines the most, not to mention that mere friendship between men and women is something hard to find in stories.

Barnaby Bagenda's artwork is pretty good with the right amount of style and storytelling that this book requires and fans of his Omega Men work here will have a few references here and there.

Good stuff aside from a few concerns, still quite interesting definitely.
