Some thoughts about The Flash #41

The Flash is losing it.

Barry has just lost his powers and his family will have to deal with the threat of Grodd but Grodd's words might have had a stronger effect on Barry than he expected.

Another issue, another enjoyable read.

Joshua Williamson opens this chapter by playing with the ramifications of the last one about how Barry handles the current attack without his powers. The characterization is pretty good thanks that Williamson plays with the idea about how Barry actually doesn't want to go back to being normal man again. Mind you, the real question is if Barry actually has those thoughts or is just Grodd who is playing with his head? This allows for a pretty solid development that will most likely continue in following issues.

Best part is all about Wally though. Wally returns as The Flash properly and he starts to reconnect with Central City, this is a pretty enjoyable sequence due that it respects the history the character has with this place and franchise as a whole. The ending is still making me suspect that Barry is just being manipulated here.

Carlos D'Anda handles the art and is really good thanks to the expressive characters and vibrant tone.

Great issue, hope things continue this way.
