Some thoughts about Deathstroke #28

Deathstroke is back to business.

After Power Girl's death, Slade has decided to continue his career as a mercenary and he might be pretty close to uncover a truth that has been terrifying his family for a while.

I do love how Christopher Priest handles plot-points.

The writer implements one of the recurring threads he has been working on for a while in this series, Etienne's death, in a way that actually makes sense and all of this is connected to the mysterious killer Willow whose identity is finally revealed in a pretty surprising way. This shows the great plannification this title has.

Another hightlight Slade's character work since his conscience (or something close to it) is starting to play with his mind after all the mistakes and different decisions he has made. His encounter with the New Super-Man was also solidly handled and appropriate based on both characters.

Diogenes Neves returns to art duties and his work is still quite solid thanks to his vibrant style and clear storytelling.

Good read, hope the next one arrives sooner.
