Some thoughts about Naomi #3

What are Naomi's origins?

All the questions that Naomi had recently are about to get answered and they could be even more surprising than she expected.

Well, colour me impressed, actual progression!

Brian Bendis offers a new installment where he finally brings revelations about the whole premise. The origins of Naomi are finally explored and they are of course, connected to the mysterious mechanic of the town but his own connection with Naomi is much deeper than I initially expected admitedly which is an interesting twist. Not only that but the role that Naomi's adoptive parents play is also much more impressive than anticipated and actually makes me invested into keep reading to know what's going to happen next.

Mind you, the premise itself is not that creative sadly. Take for example how the recently cancelled miniseries Sideways ended, in the last chapter Derek's biological mom appeared but at the end he realized he didn't care about her because his actual mom was the one who raised him which was a nice twist to the typical formula. Naomi on the other hand, offers its own surprises but doesn't look to deconstruct that trope and therefore is a bit predictable in that sense.

Jamal Campbell's art is amazing as usual with a pretty vibrant style that gets every emotion and scene perfectly.

Good read overall, hope things continue this way.
