Some thoughts about Deathstroke #41

What does the future awaits for Deathstroke?

After escaping from Arkham Asylum, Slade is trying to find a bit of peace alongside his daughter but he will quickly remember there's no peace for people like him.

Man, this one delivered quite a dense read.

Christopher Priest offers more of classic character study of Deathstroke by developing from what happened before and preparing us for yet another inevitable conflict. Once again, the characterization is one of the strongest points of this title due that Priest starts revealing layers upon layers about what's happening in Slade's mind, particularly after the ramifications of Arkham, and how that has affected his psyche and relationship with his family (which was already pretty tense to begin with).

Plus, there's the expected dilemma he has to face about how his actions will eventually get back to him and this is especially important considering that his next encounter with the Teen Titans is about to happen, something that has been building-up for more than a year now.

Fernando Pasarin handles the art and is quite solid with a pretty vibrant feel during the action scenes and lots of details.

Really, I think this is the kind of issue that is worth reading two or three times to get the best of it because it contains a lot of details that will continue to play important roles in the future. Good stuff.
