Some thoughts about Super Sons #9

The Super Sons will have to bring hope to a new world.

After being stranded in another universe, both Jon and Damian will have to find a way to save the children they've met and also teach them how to protect each other.

This little arc concludes in a satisfying enough manner.

Peter Tomasi delivers a new chapter about this world by reflecting on the classic themes about these young heroes. The characterization remains as one of the most enjoyable aspects of this book thanks to great dialogue and interaction between the protagonists and the rest of the cast. There are pretty charming moments where the idea of heroism is explored and they contrast nicely to how of the usual heroes, particularly Superman act.

The world itself wasn't that interesting to be honest but it allowed for even more fun adventures for the characters so at the very least it got the job done and it was especially heartwarming to see how much Jon is inspired by his father and how he can inspire people at the same time.

Jorge Jimenez and Carmine Di Giandomenico share the pencils and their work is decent enough but the transitions between both styles can be jarring and Jimenez remains as the best thanks to his vibrant style despite that I tend to like Giandomenico's work.

Solid issue overall, hope the next one offers a more interesting plot though.
