Some thoughts about Old Man Logan #14

Wolverine will have to face yet another supernatural threat.

Jubilee has been kidnapped and is up to Logan to save her not knowing that this will take him to some of the most horrific places in the world.

Well, the story certainly took an interesting course.

Jeff Lemire offers a new chapter that plays with some of his strongest skills. People who are familiar with his work know that he has a great fascination for the horror genre and is pretty obvious here when he plays with some of the characters from the Marvel universe that fit into such theme. From Man-Thing, to S.T.A.K.E., to frikking vampires, monster fans should be pleased here.

Also, is good to know that Lemire is using another kind of story for the book. I liked the early issues where he connected Logan's past with current events but it was getting repetitive after a while. Here however, is just pure fun with Logan fighting bizarre creatures while commenting on how ridiculous they can be.

Filipe Andrade handles the artwork and is pretty appropriate for the premise thanks to his style that create a pretty dark atmosphere and depicts the monsters in a terrifying manner.

Pretty enjoyable, hope the next one continues this way.
