Some thoughts about Raven #3

Raven's battle for the souls of her loved ones continues.

Mysterious forces are taking over people around town and not even Raven's family is safe now.

This one worked a little better aside from a few issues.

Marv Wolfman's dialogue has become a bit more natural, I assume mostly because he doesn't need to write so many young characters during this chapter. However, he tries to push the whole "Raven Factoid" thing desperately to try to make it popular and it just becomes obnoxious after a while, is not going to become her new catchphrase, don't force it.

The plot itself is not that interesting since it dwells into a pretty simple concept about souls. Actually the most enjoyable aspect from this premise is the relationship between Raven and her family, wish there was more of it.

The highlight here is Alisson Borges' artwork. It can be pretty exaggerated at times with awkward character models but is still quite vibrant and full of energy, perfect for a young superhero book.

Just because it worked a little better it doesn't mean is ideal. It does make me want to see more of Borges' work though.
