Is an entire army against Wonder Woman.
Artemis has decided to join the enemy and is up to Diana to find the best way possible to end this conflict once for all.
Okay, I think I've regained my faith in Steve Orlando.
As you might know, I've been very critical of Orlando's work in recent years, particularly because of how lackluster Justice League of America ended-up being. That being said, this little run started the right way and I believe ended even better.
The best part of this conclusion is the characterization. Orlando understands that Wonder Woman's biggest strength is her compassion and that allows for a good implementation of her abilities to defeat their enemies. This is reflected in different ways from Artemis to Rustam and how her compassionate side can vary from person to person based on their different motivations, not to mention that this also gives more depth to those characters as well.
The ideas are also well-executed, especially the ones concerning Wonder Woman's classic Lasso of Truth that is used appropriately in the fight. Not to mention that Orlando uses his knowledge about previous stories, including the ones from the event Darkseid War, to give Artemis a much more important status quo.
Raul Allen and Patricia Martin handle the art and is really solid, some of the expressions are a bit too exaggerated but they follow the script as close as possible with great storytelling.
Strong finale, going to miss this creative team.
