The Runaways are finally complete.
Alex has returned and he's not alone. Now all of them will have to work together to survive despite of their past.
Wasn't expecting this to come out so soon but I'm glad it did.
Rainbow Rowell delivers a new installment where she reintroduces Alex to the team and credit where credit is due, I believe this is a pretty solid explanation about his behavior when he initially betrayed the team. Alex's actions were the big surprise during the first book and there was never a particularly good justification for it, the reasoning here though is pretty understandable, especially because of how close Alex was to his parents originally and presented an interesting dilemma for him (and I'm glad they didn't go for a Quentin Quire route where following appearances showed him as a simple pompous asshole and completely betrayed the premise of his original appearance).
The conflict between the cast happens immediately and is also appropriately executed based on their history. It was pretty clear that the whole team wouldn't trust Alex once he came back. Not to mention that it allows for intriguing possibilities for the future.
David Lafuente handles the art and is decent enough with appealing characters and clear storytelling for the most part.
Solid read, can't wait for the next one.
