The Suicide Squad's mission to sink Atlantis continues.
Harley and Deadshot have been captured by the Atlantis' army but Waller's forces are still threatening to destroy everything and this could be the worse for both sides.
Hey, this one was actually better than the last Suicide Squad issue.
I know I had my complaints about Rob Williams' work here, particularly because of the annoying dialogue and unremarkable stories and while those aspects were still present in the previous issue, this one delivered a few more entertaining moments. The reason why I bought this was just because of the crossover with Aquaman but here Williams actually offers interesting scenes, especially the ones concerning the clear red shirts he created in the previous issue, I hated them the first time I saw them due to how obvious their purpose was but here they prove to be a bit more compelling and while those moments can be a bit too forced, they still worked well enough.
The story progresses at a nice pace, developing both sides of the story and showing how each army is getting prepared for the worst. One of my favorite parts were when King Shark appeared and it seems like his history with the Suicide Squad is actually going to be addressed.
Jose Luis' artwork is really good thanks to his vibrant characters and strong storytelling.
So far, so good. Hope it continues this way.
