The deities have been revealed.
Rung has turned out to be more important than anyone believed and now all of them will have to fight against the ultimate threat.
Well, this once again was an issue of pure exposition but at least was more enjoyable.
James Roberts continues his long-conclusion to this series by revealing more and more secrets about the universe. The truth about Rung makes a lot of sense in context, particularly what happened during one of the earlier arcs in which for all intents and purposes he SHOULD have died (then again, I still have some doubts about if Roberts planned this that far ahead). The rest of the cast also get many interesting moments, particularly the ones who are revealed to have been Gods all along and all of this leads to the final confrontation against the most powerful being they have ever faced.
Then again, this is yet another case of "tell, don't show" for the most part where Robert continues to unravel his whole plan and starts getting rid of characters that could be an interference in the quickiest way possible and this is a trend that I've been noticing particularly in recent chapters with the deaths of Nightbeat, Star Saber and Scorponok and is not that satisfying.
Jack Lawrence's artwork is really good thanks to his flexible style that allows for good expressions and action scenes.
Not bad but still suffers from many of the same issues. Hope the final ones are better.
