The Trinity will have to fight against time.
Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman have found themselves in Skartaris and are forced to be in the middle of the war and all the conditions this strange land brings.
You know, I could simply say that this issue has and that should be enough to call it great but I'm going to keep up.
James Robinson brings a new chapter about the Trinity in the Warlord's world by telling a pretty exciting tale. The characterization is one of the shining aspects here due that the writer focuses on the perspectives of every hero and tells the whole situation from their own eyes, I love how this kind of style manages to get the best from their portrayals and also shows how competent they are and how well they work with one another.
You might be thinking though, this is pretty similar to what Tom King did in Batman with The War of Jokes and Riddles with everything being told in the form of flashbacks but while I hated that story, this one is much better executed since this is told from different angles due to the three protagonists which makes it much more dynamic while the action is shown perfectly without being merely amount of pretty images that almost just seemed like covers.
The plot progresses at a nice pace while the ongoing mystery shows a pretty surprising last page and makes me wonder how things are going to continue.
Patrick Zircher remains in art duties and his work is pretty solid thanks to the precise storytelling and good character models.
Seriously though, Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman riding unicorns! Buy this!
