Can the Outlaws at least have a date night?
Jason and Artemis are finally going to give this relationship a chance but that's far from their biggest concern since Bizarro's symptoms are getting worse.
I was getting a bit nervous about this issue but apparently things are not going the way I expected.
You see, I don't necessarily like how Scott Lobdell is apparently hinting towards a relationship between Jason and Artemis since I feel like their relationship along with Bizarro works better as a family, just as friends who found and are willing to help each other. Sure, I didn't have much problems in the first volume when Roy and Starfire had a relationship but that's mostly because they weren't the main character, I've always had this believe that if you're going to create a romantic relationship in three characters is better to leave the protagonist aside since the focus is going to him/her anyway, otherwise the third wheel will have less to do and become less important.
That being said, Lobdell does interesting things with this "date" since it plays with expectations and creates a solid twist that hopefully will make the characters act more like a family instead of forcing a romance between them. The character work continues to be solid based on their interactions and the writer even manages to include a few plot-points for the future.
Marcio Takara handles the art and is decent enough with clear storytelling but some of the models looked rough at times.
Good read overall, hope things don't become predictable.
