Can Batman and Wonder Woman endure an eternal battle?
Bruce and Diana have spent years fighting against a horde of monsters and Selina is their only hope to return.
Well, this wasn't so bad but at the same time it wasn't so great.
Tom King brings a new installment where he focuses on the relationship between Bruce and Diana while also emphasizing the relationship between Bruce and Selina. I didn't talk much about the frikking cliffhanger from the last chapter because I knew it wasn't going to happen for real although I must say that I detest how writers keep using Diana basically as a romantic interest whenever she appears with a male hero, this could have been worked much better if King would have simply presented their relationship as pure friendship instead of hinting to something and in fact the story works better when they work together as a team. However, those early moments are still pretty cringey.
The best part I believe is where they focus on the romantic aspects between Selina and Bruce which are reflected in The Gentle Man and how he's trying to connect with his wife again. Unfortunately, all of this leads to an abrupt conclusion that I don't think is satisfying at all but then again, that's common for King.
Joelle Jones' artwork is amazing though, is beautiful and expressive just at the right moments and once again, she draws one of the most beautiful Wonder Woman I've ever seen.
Aside from that, this is mostly unremarkable. Big surprise.
