Some thoughts about Black Lightning: Cold Dead Hands #4

Can Black Lightning and the police work together?

White Thunder is threatening everyone in sight and Jefferson will have to keep all the people involved safe but this is only the beginning of his fight.

This series continues and is still pretty compelling.

Tony Isabella brings a new chapter where he not only explores the ongoing fight that Jefferson has to deal with but also how the rest of the people around react to it. A few segments are dedicated to the people in Cleveland and how they see the current events the most important being centered around Tobias Whale and his plans for the whole city and to Jeff's cousins who turn out to be Anissa and Jennifer who were his daughters in the previous continuity, this is actually something that I dig, I mean, I would have prefered if both were still Jeff's children but on the other hand this also allows them to exist without artificially aging the character which is something that would have been pretty off considering how he appeared at the beginning of the New 52 (and again, I wish something like this would have happened in Green Arrow instead of what Percy ended-up doing).

The plot itself also progresses nicely and shows the complex dynamic that the protagonist has with the police force demonstrating how not everything is black and white in the whole situation. The natural dialogue once again gets the best from every character.

Clayton Henry and Ivel Guichet handle the artwork and the result is pretty solid thanks to the expressive characters and vibrant action.

Good read, hope this keeps progressing nicely.
