Can The Silencer escape from her old life?
Honor is trying to protect her family from knowing the truth about her past but once that old associates come from her, things will get more and more difficult to hide.
This series continues and is still pretty solid.
Dan Abnett brings a new chapter where he keeps revealing Honor's past while also showing how much she wants to stay away from it. The characterization is quite clear thanks to the multiple narration boxes that offer more insight on Honor's mind, mind you, this can be a bit overdone at times to to the point of looking and sounding like a Frank Miller comic but it doesn't get too annoying fortunately. The way how some of the characters who are connected to her life are introduced keeps things exciting while the story offers a lot of content.
The best part for me though is how her normal life contrasts with her career as a mercenary. I think the segments focusing on the dynamic between her family and her are the best in the entire chapter which depicts a pretty believable desire for her to keep them safe. I wish this book had more moments like that.
John Romita Jr. remains in pencils and his work can be a bit awkward at times due to rough looking character models but the storytelling is clear enough.
Enjoyable overall, hope it keeps improving.
