The New Super-Man will have to deal with his new powers.
Kenan has finally found the balance he has been lacking all this time but he will realize that is much harder to keep than he imagined.
Well, this is my own fault, I thought that Gene Luen Yang's run ended with issue 18 (This is what happens when you don't follow solicits anymore) but the good news are that this is still a pretty solid direction. The mere change of name of the title implies a bigger focus on the whole team but to be honest, I don't see much difference here since the book always gave the highlight to several members of the cast, not only Kenan, I guess now is at least more appropriate.
The story itself begins promisingly due that Yang plays with the ramifications of his last chapter with Kenan finding the balance between Ying and Yang while also learning that he needs to constantly battle between the two, is a pretty interesting idea and one that will most likely continue to be developed in the future.
One of the best parts is how the rest of the cast is handled. As we saw in the last arc, a Lantern Corps of China has been created to challenge the JLC and their presence works solidly enough here, there's a new character introduced that will most likely become more important in the future and the dynamic between the main characters is still quite enjoyable while some relationships are also being developed.
Brent Peeples' artwork is still not the best sadly but not the worst either, he gets the job done in terms of storytelling but the style is not particularly beautiful.
Other than that, good read, hope it continues this way.
