Batman will need the help of one of his worst enemies.
A mysterious plague has been created and Poison Ivy might be the only person able to create a cure but she's not going to give it easily.
Here we are presented to another famous Batman villain and so far this continues the same solid work.
Scott Snyder brings a new one-and-done story this time focusing on Poison Ivy and the kind of person she is. The plot itself does its job by creating a believable reason for Bruce to search for Pamela's help while creating serious stakes at hand, it makes you invested pretty quickly.
The characterization is the best part here though. Snyder's despiction is Ivy is pretty much perfect showing the kind of person she is and while she might be a villain, that doesn't mean she can't show compassion towards others or do what she thinks is right. Her interactions with Batman are also pretty on-point all of it culminating in a quite appropriate manner.
Tula Lotay handles the artwork and the style is quite distinctive being able to fit the character of Poison Ivy nicely while creating clear storytelling.
There's once again a second segment focusing on Luke and his own personal quest which reveals more about who he really wants to defeat, is decent overall. Francesco Francavilla's artwork makes the script much better than it actually is.
Enjoyable overall, hoping to see more like this.
