Can the Justice League of America survive their first mission?
Lord Havok and the Extremists have arrived to Earth and Batman and his team will have to do everything in their power to stop them even if it means sacrifice one of their own.
Well, this was once again decent but not impressive yet.
Steve Orlando delivers the proper first chapter of this series by introducing readers straight into the action. The battle itself is not badly done and it has interesting enough scenes to make it engaging while injecting little character moments here and there. Seeing Lord Havok and the Extremists is always cool for people who want to see DCU versions of Marvel characters and I'm one of them thankfully.
However, there's not much beyond the action. We're pretty much thrown into the fight scenes with very little info being delivered to know what is actually happening. Also, I love the Marvel parodies but I wish we would have gotten a better introduction since their opening scene seemed a bit too bland while it could have gotten more character moments to actually make people care about them.
Ivan Reis remains in art duties and his work is still great looking thanks to his beautiful characters and strong action scenes.
Not bad, not great, the next one better be better.
