The Birds of Prey are going undercover.
Someone has been on the headquarters and Barbara needs to find why, and is up to Helena and Dinah to help her.
Well, this was pretty enjoyable overall.
Julie and Shawna Benson arrive with an one-and-done story where they exploit the best aspect of this book, the interactions between the characters. The fact that this issue takes place in Valentines Day helps a lot to play with the concept of relationships and how some of them doesn't have to be romantic. The conversations between the protagonists are really entertaining, especially the ones involving Dinah due that she has a lot of personality here.
The plot is pretty simply but it serves the purpose of putting the cast in fun situations where a bit of humour can be injected. The natural dialogue and solid portrayals make them even better.
Claire Roe handles the artwork and while her style is not exactly my favorite, she knows how to depict good character expressions that show emotions clearly.
Nice read, hope the next one continues this trend.
