Captain Atom will have to face the consequences of time travel.
Nate has been transported to the 90's in a time where superheroes didn't exist and while this might have its advantages, it also comes with problems.
Well, this story just became more interesting.
Cary Bates and Greg Weisman deliver a new installment where they focus on one of the classic aspects of Captain Atom's powers, time travel. Just as I mentioned during the last issue, both writers did a decent but not particularly great work at portraying Nate while the plot progressed very slowly. Here however, the writer exploit the concept of time travel to create a compelling story where Nate returns to a time where he was a normal human being and tries to exploit his precense in the 90's to try to get a happy life once for all.
The use of the theme is nicely done with some accurate investigation about the concept and showing how it can have multiple results depending on the actions or they simply can occur out of nowhere. This is a mostly idea and plot-centric issue but considering how the last one worked, is a nice contrast.
Will Conrad handles the artwork and is pretty impressive at times with a semi-realistic style that gets character expressions perfectly along with a solid storytelling skill.
Better than the last one without a doubt, hope the next one follows on this.
I really enjoy reading and also appreciate your work.
