Some thoughts about Dastardly & Muttley #3

Not even The White House is safe now.

The President of the United States of America has fallen for the illness that is creating madness across the nation and is up to Dastardly and Muttley to find a solution.

I was expecting more cartoony satire and I was satisfied!

Garth Ennis offers a new chapter where he continues to develop the about this particular virus that is turning everyone into old-school cartoons. The humour continues to be funny due to how a lot of the characters try to act as seriously as possible to the strange events but things quickly go crazier once that they succumb to the disease and start acting like caricature and is especially funny when this affects even the President due that the political humour starts surfacing.

Hell, at times it even feels like a parody of other Ennis' books. As you might know, the writer has a tendency of making shocking books full of gore and blood but here, all the violence and even deaths are portraying in a comedic way, pretty much how it would happen in classic cartoons and it works for the better. I wouldn't mind more Ennis' series going this way.

Mauricet remains in art duties and his work is still quite solid thanks to his ability to depict expressive characters and bizarre scenarios.

Entertaining read, hope for more character work in the next one though.
