Some thoughts about Transformers: Lost Light #11

The Lost Light is under Getaway's control.

The new captain of the ship can't help but tell his psychiatrist about all the terrible things he did to achieve his position and he's far from over.

Man, if previous issues didn't make you hate Getaway this will get the job done.

James Roberts continues his little story about what happened to the Lost Light after Getaway left Rodimus' crew. There are interesting moments of characterization, particularly from some of the most notable characters like Thunderclash, Perceptor and Riptide who quickly realize the true colours of their new captain but unfortunately they realize things a bit too late. Roberts comes to the logical conclusion that not all the people who stayed are bastards and they still show redeemable scenes.

Everyone except Getaway obviously who somehow becomes even more detestable. He's not only a manipulative asshole but also a cowardly narcissist who lies to everyone and then stabs them in the back, someone who doesn't accept any negative opinions against him, someone who uses the term "fake news" (Yes, that actually happened and is clear who Roberts wants to parody).

Getaway has pretty much become the most despicable villain the series ever had and considering who they had to deal with, that's saying a lot. He even makes Roberts' Prowl look good (And I say "Roberts' Prowl" because unlike "Roche's Prowl", Roberts' version is quite unlikable). That comes with its problems though since Getaway has pretty much become a caricature of a bad guy and doesn't present much depth, he's only here to make you want to punch him in the face.

Jack Lawrence and Alex Milne share the pencils although Milne is mostly focused on scenes that already happened, Lawrence still does a solid job with expressions and storytelling though.

Entertaining but God, I want this douche to die already.
