Some thoughts about Wonder Woman #35

What is the story about Wonder Woman's brother?

Jason has lived his whole life trying to understand who he is and now he's getting closer to the truth.

I  feel like this could have easily been half an issue.

James Robinson continues his story by exploring more of Jason's background and to be honest, we're not closer to learn more about what made him turn evil. The story mostly focuses on his childhood and the people who raised him, is interesting in its own way with a few compelling revelations about the mythos surrounding him but there's barely anything beyond that and makes me feel that this could have been condensed in less pages so we could actually see his encounter with Grail and Darkseid.

There's a hint with the appearance of the Deep Six (and is classic from Robinson to visit obscure characters) but I wish there was something to more since it mostly seemed like a set-up story inside of yet another set-up story (and Robinson's dialogue can get things awkward at times).

Emanuela Luppachino's artwork is gorgeous though with beautiful characters and strong storytelling.

Not bad but not great and I need more content in the next one.
