Some thoughts about Action Comics #1023

The Red Cloud is coming after Superman.

Clark is trying to learn more about Conner but there's not much time since one of his new enemies is willing to destroy his world.

Mixed thoughts here.

Brian Bendis continues his story about Red Cloud and I feel like this should have ended a while ago. Take into consideration that that particular plot-point started pretty much right from the beginning of Bendis' run and still is not truly resolved. Mind you, is mostly the fault of the constant crossovers this series had to deal with but again, who thinks is responsible for those crossovers? The writer is at full fault.

That being said, this issue at least had a decent amount of cotent compared to previous entries. Sure, a lot of it is because of the overwritten dialogue and some of it is hit and miss (How can Lois even know what a combination between Clark and Lex would be?) but it progresses the plot adequately and brings a logical development.

John Romita Jr. returns to pencils and his work is still serviceable but not as polished as his best efforts.

Not sure about this one, let's see how things go on.
