Some thoughts about Justice League Odyssey #22

Where or when is Jessica Cruz?

Epoch has sent Jessica to another era and now she will need the help of a friend to go back to her own time.

This worked just a little better but also reminded me why this doesn't work.

Dan Abnett offers a new installment where he actually implements one of the concepts he introduced in this book in a kinda interesting way. Epoch's abilities as the master of time or whatever allows for Jessica to travel to another time where the Green Lanterns weren't around (especifically during the Emerald Twilight era). Sure, time travel is nothing new but at least Epoch served for something aside from saying how important he is and creates a new and more interesting setting.

The problem however, is that this demonstrates that this book is going nowhere. The main plot is suddenly interrupted to create this interlude and sure, it also creates a new scenario and a kinda compelling development for one of the boring characters that Abnett introduced but it still feels like a lot of padding for a story that shouldn't have taken so long to be resolved.

Cliff Richards handles the art and it remains solid with expressive characters and a detailed style.

Not bad but not great, at least more passable than previous ones.
